Looking back at the annual landscape of China's traditional Chinese medicine field in 2025, the figure of a physician who has dedicated over four decades to the medical field stands out remarkably: he is an academic pioneer who has thoroughly studied the "Huangdi Neijing" yet breaks free from ancient conventions, a practitioner who has pioneered unique therapies through clinical practice, a guardian who delivered medicines against the tide during the pandemic, and a philanthropist deeply concerned with the underprivileged. He is Wen Shuzhong, an associate chief physician, chairman of the Health Advisory Committee of the National Medical Network, and president of Jilin Jiutai Huayi Hospital. From his early exposure to traditional Chinese medicine in a family environment to becoming a renowned national medical model, Wen Shuzhong has interpreted the profound meaning of "medicine as a benevolent art" through his lifelong dedication and innovation, and has also written a vivid footnote for the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine in the new era.
闻树忠出生于 1953 年，吉林省长春市九台区人，执业 医师，副主任医师职称，中国人民解放军驻吉林省预备师正团级，师承中国工程院院士、国医大师石学敏教授和国医大师李佃贵教授。现任中国医药教育协会会员，国医网健康顾问委员会主任委员，吉林省内蒙古商会常务会长兼副秘书长，吉林省软环境办公室监督员，吉林九台华一医院院长等职务。
Wen Shuzhong was born in 1953 in Jiutai District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. He is a practicing physician with the title of associate chief physician and a regimental-level officer in the People's Liberation Army Reserve Division stationed in Jilin Province. He studied under Professor Shi Xuemin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a master of traditional Chinese medicine, and Professor Li Diangui, another master of traditional Chinese medicine. Currently, he serves as a member of the China Medical Education Association, chairman of the Health Advisory Committee of the National Medicine Network, executive president and deputy secretary-general of the Inner Mongolia Chamber of Commerce in Jilin Province, supervisor of the Jilin Soft Environment Office, and president of Jilin Jiutai Huayi Hospital.

Wen Shuzhong possessed an exceptionally solid foundation in medical theory. From an early age, under the influence of his family, he diligently studied classical works of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) such as "Essentials of the Inner Canon," "Tangtou Gejue," "Ode on the Properties of Medicinal Herbs," and "Pulse Studies." These classical texts served as the key to unlocking the door of TCM, laying a robust theoretical foundation for his medical career.
此后，闻树忠又深入钻研《黄帝内经》《难经》《伤寒论》等历代中医典籍，在对这些经典的考据溯源中，他不断挖掘中医的精华。在辨证施治的实践中，闻树忠推陈出新，将传统中医理论与现代医学理念相结合，形成了自己独特的医学见解。
Subsequently, Wen Shuzhong delved into the study of classical Chinese medical texts such as the Huangdi Neijing (Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon), Nanjing (Classic of Difficulties), and Shanghan Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases). Through textual research and tracing the origins of these classics, he continuously uncovered the essence of traditional Chinese medicine. In the practice of syndrome differentiation and treatment, Wen Shuzhong innovated by integrating traditional Chinese medical theories with modern medical concepts, thereby forming his unique medical perspectives.
闻树忠主张“ 中西并举，兼收并蓄” ，既坚守中医整体观与辨证论治的核心思想，又积极吸纳现代医学的先进技术和理念。这种海纳百川、融会贯通的学术品格，为他构建全面而有效的临床诊疗体系奠定了深厚的学养基础。
Wen Shuzhong advocated the principle of "promoting both Chinese and Western medicine while embracing inclusiveness," adhering to the core philosophy of holistic view and syndrome differentiation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) while actively incorporating advanced technologies and concepts from modern medicine. This academic character of embracing persity and integrating knowledge laid a profound scholarly foundation for him to establish a comprehensive and effective clinical diagnosis and treatment system.
躬身临床，创特色疗法

闻树忠自 1997 年从长春中医学院毕业后，即投身医疗卫生事业，先后于长春九台铁北医院、长春九台中医院深耕
临床一线。1998 年5 月，创办心脑血管研究所 ;1999 年5 月，独立开设中医内科诊所 ;2000 年，成立九台市心脑血管病研究所，专注于心脑血管疾病的防治。
After graduating from Changchun University of Chinese Medicine in 1997, Wen Shuzhong dedicated himself to the healthcare profession, working extensively in clinical practice at Changchun Jiutai Tiesbei Hospital and Changchun Jiutai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In May 1998, he established the Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Research Institute. In May 1999, he independently opened a Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine Clinic. In 2000, he founded the Jiutai Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Research Institute, specializing in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
为顺应医疗卫生事业发展趋势，满足患者多元化诊疗需求，2011 年 11 月，闻树忠将诊所升级为九台华一医院。医院涵盖内科、外科、妇科、中医科、急诊科等核心诊疗单元，医技科室配备化验、电诊、影像等先进辅助诊断系统，开放42 张标准化住院床位，同时汇聚多位具有丰富临床经验的资深专家坐诊，极大提升了医院的服务能力。经上级卫生行政部门核准，医院正式成为城镇医疗保险和新型农村合作医疗定点机构。
To align with the development trends of healthcare and meet the persified diagnostic and therapeutic needs of patients, in November 2011, Wen Shuzhong upgraded the clinic to Jiutai Huayi Hospital. The hospital encompasses core diagnostic and therapeutic units such as internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, traditional Chinese medicine, and emergency medicine. Its medical technology departments are equipped with advanced auxiliary diagnostic systems including laboratory testing, electrodiagnosis, and imaging. The hospital has 42 standardized inpatient beds and has gathered multiple senior experts with extensive clinical experience, significantly enhancing its service capacity. Approved by the superior health administrative authorities, the hospital has officially become a designated institution for both urban medical insurance and the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme.
历经四十余载临床积淀，闻树忠以《黄帝内经》“治风先治血，血行风自灭”为理论根基，独创“八宜八法”辨证体系与“五位一体”综合疗法。
With over four decades of clinical experience, Wen Shuzhong has established his unique "Eight Indications and Eight Methods" syndrome differentiation system and "Five-in-One" comprehensive therapy, grounded in the theoretical principle from the "Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon" that "to treat wind, one must first regulate blood; when blood flows, wind naturally dissipates."

1.For obstruction syndrome, open the channel; 2. For deficiency syndrome, consolidate the channel; 3. For liver yang, subdue and restrain; 4. For phlegm syndrome, promote dispersion; 5. (II) "Five-in-One" Comprehensive Therapy
1.名贵中草药方剂：具有舒筋活血、祛瘀散结、消肿解毒、活络化瘀等功效，可用于脑血栓、心肌缺血和各种顽固性头痛头晕等疾病。
2.穴位注射疗法：针对不同患者，采用穴位注射给药，对肢体功能迅速恢复起到重要作用。
3.药物接入疗法：合理使用溶栓制剂，迅速建立侧肢血液循环，对病患康复起到主导作用。

1.Precious Chinese herbal formula: Exhibits effects of relaxing tendons and activating blood circulation, removing blood stasis and dispersing nodules, reducing swelling and detoxifying, as well as activating collaterals and resolving stasis. It can be used for cerebral thrombosis, myocardial ischemia, and various refractory headaches and dizziness.
2.Acupoint Injection Therapy: For different patients, acupoint injection is employed as a therapeutic approach, playing a significant role in the rapid recovery of limb function.
3.Drug access therapy: Rational use of thrombolytic agents to rapidly establish collateral circulation plays a dominant role in patient recovery.

As Shu Zhong often said, physicians should care for patients with empathy—every greeting and smile can provide comfort and hope. He treats patients as family, adhering to the principle of "satisfactory therapeutic outcomes and considerate service," and upholds the original aspiration of "preserving life and healing the wounded" to safeguard the health of the local community.
从医多年来，闻树忠笔耕不辍，发表《中西医结合治疗急性脑梗死临床观察》《“八宜八法”治疗中风后遗症临床研究》《关于推进基本药物制度建设完善具有中国特色的基本药物目录》等学术论文，其成果为中西医协同诊疗提供实践参考。
Over the years in the medical field, Wen Shuzhong has been prolific in his writing, publishing academic papers such as "Clinical Observation of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Treating Acute Cerebral Infarction", "Clinical Research on 'Eight Adaptations and Eight Methods' for Treating Post-Stroke Sequelae", and "On Promoting the Construction of the Essential Medicines System and Improving the Essential Medicines List with China Characteristics". His achievements provide practical references for the collaborative diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
闻树忠带领团队将严谨的诊疗规范与人性化服务理念深度融合，所在单位获评“吉林省诚信单位”，个人荣膺“吉林好人”称号，其事迹载入《健康中国•国医精粹》典籍，并获《人民代表报》专题报道，《亚太传统医药》杂志以“杏林好医生”专题报道了其光荣事绩。
Wen Shuzhong led his team to deeply integrate rigorous diagnostic and treatment standards with humanized service concepts. His institution was awarded the title of "Integrity Unit of Jilin Province," and he was honored with the title of "Good Person of Jilin." 在新冠疫情期间，闻树忠展现出了一位医者的担当和责任。根据国家新冠疫情防控诊疗方案，参照中医药处方及国家中医药干预指引，他结合当时的实际情况，与医院医护人员共同加班加点，认真筛选品质上乘的中草药材，精心熬制中药汤剂。
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Wen Shuzhong demonstrated the responsibility and commitment of a medical professional. In accordance with the national COVID-19 prevention and treatment guidelines, and referring to traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions and national TCM intervention guidelines, he collaborated with hospital medical staff to work overtime under the actual circumstances of the time. They meticulously selected high-quality Chinese herbal materials and carefully prepared traditional Chinese medicine decoctions.
在疫情肆虐的艰难时刻，闻树忠将这些温热的中药汤剂送到老人和儿童手中，为他们提供了一份温暖和保护。在免费发放中药汤剂的同时，闻树忠还现场讲解汤剂的疗效、服用方法和注意事项等，细心叮嘱大家要注意休息，做好自身防护，适当锻炼，增强抵抗力.那些免费发放的中药汤剂，不仅是预防诊治的良药，更是传递信心与关爱的纽带，让群众在疫情的阴霾下感受到了丝丝暖意，增强了大家战胜疫情的信心。
During the challenging period of the pandemic, Wen Shuzhong delivered these warm traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) decoctions to the elderly and children, providing them with warmth and protection. While distributing the TCM decoctions free of charge, Wen Shuzhong also explained the therapeutic effects, administration methods, and precautions of the decoctions on-site. He carefully advised everyone to rest adequately, practice self-protection, engage in moderate exercise, and enhance their immune resistance. The free TCM decoctions distributed were not only effective for prevention and treatment but also served as a bond of confidence and care, allowing the public to feel a touch of warmth amidst the pandemic's gloom and strengthening their confidence in overcoming the disease.

For elderly inpiduals living alone, those with severe disabilities, and other groups completely incapacitated and without financial means, he provides full reimbursement for medications and related medical expenses. Wen Shuzhong fully understood education's vital role in breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty, which led him to expand his philanthropic efforts into educational support. He often said, "Medicine cures physical ailments, but knowledge transforms destinies. As long as children hold hope, our efforts are meaningful." He actively participated in various educational initiatives, providing financial aid and support to underprivileged students, enabling them to pursue education and change their lives. 此外，闻树忠还关注到敬老院里老人们的健康问题。敬老院里的老人们大多年事已高，身体机能衰退，患有多种慢性疾病，加之行动不便，就医取药成为一大难题。为了解决这一问题，他组织义诊送药活动，定期前往敬老院为老人们送去健康与温暖。在义诊过程中，闻树忠耐心地为老人们进行身体检查，详细询问病史，仔细听诊、测量血压血糖，根据检查结果调整用药方案，并给予健康饮食、 日常护理等方面的建议。
Furthermore, Wen Shuzhong has also focused on the health issues of the elderly in nursing homes. Most of the elderly in these facilities are advanced in age, with declining physical functions and suffering from various chronic diseases. Coupled with mobility difficulties, accessing medical care and medication has become a significant challenge. To address this issue, he organized free medical consultations and medication delivery activities, regularly visiting nursing homes to bring health and warmth to the elderly. During these free medical consultations, Wen Shuzhong patiently conducted physical examinations for the elderly, meticulously inquired about their medical histories, carefully listened to auscultations, measured blood pressure and blood glucose levels, adjusted medication regimens based on the examination results, and provided recommendations on healthy diets and daily care.
义诊结束后，他和志愿者们根据医生的处方，将药品分装打包，贴上清晰的服用说明，并逐一送到老人房间。对于患有多种疾病、需要服用多种药物的老人，他们还会反复叮嘱用药时间和剂量。同时，闻树忠还为老人们准备了常用药品应急包，内含感冒药、退烧药、创可贴等，以备不时之需。
After the free medical consultation, he and the volunteers repackaged the medications according to the prescriptions, labeled them with clear dosage instructions, and delivered them to the elderly patients' rooms one by one. For elderly patients with multiple comorbidities requiring polypharmacy, they provided repeated reminders regarding medication timing and dosages. Additionally, Wen Shuzhong prepared emergency kits containing commonly used medications such as cold remedies, antipyretics, and band-aids for potential emergencies.
闻树忠常说：“老吾老以及人之老，看到老人们健康快乐，就是我最大的心愿。”他的这份执着与坚守，如同温暖的春风，拂过敬老院的每一个角落，让老人们在暮年时光中感受到满满的幸福与尊严，也为社会传递了正能量。
