茅尧东,名兀,字尧东,自号尘缘居士。生于1963年3月江苏无锡,祖籍江苏丹阳。

      系原中日文化交流促进会理事。现为中国长城书画家协会江苏分会副会长,中国国际书画艺术研究会,无锡基地常务副院长,中国书画艺术研究会副会长,中国当代美术家,国家文化部文化发展中心特聘高级书画家,一级美术师。我国著名山水画家。个人信息资料及印章已收录到我国名家数据库中。

      作品先后在中国美术馆,军事博物馆,江苏省美术馆及应邀在香港,泰国,新加坡,美国,加拿大,韩国等地展出。并获得了国际金奖以上的各类大奖。同时在由国家文化部组织的中法文化交流年,迎奥运赴俄罗斯宣传活动及由文化部,中央电视台组成的赴美国非物质文化遗产宣传活动,都受到了邀请。在毛泽东主席逝世百周年时,更是受到了毛岸青,邵华,毛新宇一家的亲函邀请,为其敬呈作品。不仅于此,个人简介,传略先后在人民日报海外版,人民画报,光明日报,新华日报和中国艺术网,作过重点报道和介绍。而且作品成为在中国艺术品交易市场上首批成功上市的艺术家。而由国家文化部中国邮政集邮总公司为其出品且绝版限量发行的“中国当代美术家”名家邮票,更是建国以来迄今为止唯一一套以国家名誉出版的邮票,极其珍贵。

Mao Yaodong, courtesy name Wuer, literary name Chenyuan Jushi, born 1963 in Wuxi, Jiangsu, is a renowned Chinese landscape painter (First-Class Artist). He holds key roles in national calligraphy and painting associations, with his profile included in China's famous artists database.

His works have been exhibited at national art museums and overseas (HK, Thailand, US, etc.), winning many international gold awards. Invited to Sino-French Cultural Exchange Year and intangible cultural heritage promotions abroad, he was once invited by Mao Zedong's family to present tribute works.

Featured in People's Daily Overseas Edition and major art platforms, his works were among the first listed in China's art market. China Post issued his "Famous Contemporary Artists" stamps—a rare national honor.

Mao’s elegant, poetic works blend tradition and modernity, forming a unique style. Praised by masters like Wu Guanzhong, his art is widely collected worldwide.
